Stretch Characteristic Behavior
When it comes to stretch characteristic behavior there are many questions we can ask. What are stretch marks? When do they begin to occur? Where are they most likely to pop up? What impacts do they have? These are all questions that the majority of women have – especially during pregnancy. Let’s try our best to answer them.
What are Stretch Marks?
In case you didn’t already know, our skin is usually quite elastic. If it is going to stretch substantially, however, the skin needs time. If the skin is stretched too much in a short period of time it will create what is known as stretch marks. They are caused when the tissue under your skin tears. What does a stretch mark look like? Newer stretch marks often look like red, pink, brown, or purple lines on the skin. Once they age, the color fades and the stretch marks become white, looking more like scars on the surface of the skin. These scars are permanent. This stretch characteristic behavior, effecting both men and women (although women more commonly), can leave individuals feeling insecure and unconfident with their bodies.
When and where do stretch marks appear?
As said previously, stretch marks are most likely to develop during times of rapid weight gain. The most common times that one will notice stretch marks is during pregnancy. Given that the belly stretches so much in such a little period of time, this should not be unexpected. Another common time that many people will begin to develop stretch marks is during adolescence when the body is developing and growing. It is also common stretch characteristic behavior for stretch marks to appear when engaging in weight lifting activities where your muscles are rapidly expanding ,thereby stretching your skin.
Stretch marks can appear all over the body. The most common areas, however, are in the breasts, the hips, the buttocks, the thighs, and the abdominal. While it is difficult to determine exactly where the stretch marks will pop up, the root cause of the appearance should give you an idea. For example, if you are pregnant you may expect to see stretch marks developing in the abdomen area or in the breasts. Adolescents are most likely to experience stretch marks on the hips, breasts, buttocks, and thighs. When working out, you can expect to see stretch marks develop in the area that you are devoting the most time to.
Effects of Stretch Marks
When most people think of stretch marks, they think of the effect it has on the look of their skin. And while stretch marks do leave scars, it is also stretch characteristic behavior to have many other negative effects. While there are a few people who do not care about their stretch marks, the majority of us are greatly impacted by their appearance. Not only do they affect our own self-esteem, but they can also have a major impact on our relationships. If they don’t directly affect our partner’s judgment of us, we as women tend to assume that they do anyways. Stretch marks can make us feel insecure, directly affecting our intimate relationships with our partners.
No matter how we get them, stretch marks can affect the way we look at ourselves and the way we think other people look at us. They can affect our desire to wear our favorite clothes, our desire to be intimate with our partner, and our desire to look at ourselves in the mirror. Unfortunately, the insecurities that women face is probably the biggest stretch characteristic behavior of them all.
When you are feeling down about your body, just remember that you are far from alone. Women with stretch marks seem to feel as though they are the only ones. Let me assure you there are many women out there who feel the exact same way. Rather than sulking over your stretch marks, it is time to fight back and treat them.
